My calves are super tight, but that's ok, I'm just easing back into things. I was also blessed because Glen Harris let me borrow a recover system that has helped a ton!
Mon, 16 Jul 2018 06:00:00 Sat, Jul 14, 2018 http://bin.fastrunningblog.com/blog-07-14-2018.html
What a great race!! I was pumped to hit my goal time, I feel like I'm right on track for my marathon goal, this was a very encouraging sign. Lots of work still to do, but the goal feels a lot more possible now. I started out strong and smooth, and pretty relaxed. The first mile was a little slow at 5:50 pace, but the next mile picked up quite a bit, and mile 3 was a 5:10. From there I was pretty consistantly under 5:30 until the last 2 or 3 miles, at that point I was just fighting to stay under 5:40, and just finish the race strong. I took 5th place, which was great because I won $100. I really wanted to beat Golden, but he got me by about a minute. The good thing is that he's also doing the St. George Marathon, so I'll have a chance to beat him there as well. I'm super sore, but it's totally worth it.
Sat, 14 Jul 2018 06:00:00 Fri, Jul 13, 2018 http://bin.fastrunningblog.com/blog-07-13-2018.html
Getting ready for that race tomorrow!
Fri, 13 Jul 2018 06:00:00 Thu, Jul 12, 2018 http://bin.fastrunningblog.com/blog-07-12-2018.html Thu, 12 Jul 2018 06:00:00 Wed, Jul 11, 2018 http://bin.fastrunningblog.com/blog-07-11-2018.html
6x800 meter workout. I did well, all of my times were under 2:34 except for the first one I was a little slow, just getting into the groove I guess. I'm excited for the race this weekend!
Wed, 11 Jul 2018 06:00:00 Tue, Jul 10, 2018 http://bin.fastrunningblog.com/blog-07-10-2018.html
It was really hard to get out on this run, but I did, and it was a hot sweaty one. I also took a nice moment at the turn around point to just stop and think, it was really refreshing and good for my soul
Tue, 10 Jul 2018 06:00:00 Mon, Jul 09, 2018 http://bin.fastrunningblog.com/blog-07-09-2018.html Mon, 09 Jul 2018 06:00:00 Sat, Jul 07, 2018 http://bin.fastrunningblog.com/blog-07-07-2018.html Sat, 07 Jul 2018 06:00:00 Fri, Jul 06, 2018 http://bin.fastrunningblog.com/blog-07-06-2018.html Fri, 06 Jul 2018 06:00:00 Thu, Jul 05, 2018 http://bin.fastrunningblog.com/blog-07-05-2018.html Thu, 05 Jul 2018 06:00:00 Wed, Jul 04, 2018 http://bin.fastrunningblog.com/blog-07-04-2018.html
Good workout today, did 3 2 mile repeats at race pace, the splits were 11:52, 11:47, 11:51

Still have to improve, but I'm loving the progress!
Wed, 04 Jul 2018 06:00:00 Tue, Jul 03, 2018 http://bin.fastrunningblog.com/blog-07-03-2018.html
Nice hot afternoon run, as well as a cool morning run. Going to the jazz summer league game today, it should be a blast!!!
Tue, 03 Jul 2018 06:00:00 Mon, Jul 02, 2018 http://bin.fastrunningblog.com/blog-07-02-2018.html
Had a real nice evening run, and cranked out 7 miles, I wore a reflective vest, but only the vest. Note to self: Don't do that again, it causes nipple chaffing. I also played capture the flag for FHE for a solid hour and a half, and I'm counting that as a mile.
Mon, 02 Jul 2018 06:00:00 Thu, Jun 28, 2018 http://bin.fastrunningblog.com/blog-06-28-2018.html
Nice run, plus a couple of barefoot miles in the grass
Thu, 28 Jun 2018 06:00:00 Wed, Jun 27, 2018 http://bin.fastrunningblog.com/blog-06-27-2018.html Wed, 27 Jun 2018 06:00:00 Tue, Jun 26, 2018 http://bin.fastrunningblog.com/blog-06-26-2018.html
Nice hilly trail run
Tue, 26 Jun 2018 06:00:00 Mon, Jun 25, 2018 http://bin.fastrunningblog.com/blog-06-25-2018.html
Had a good run today. I tried out the One V3 as well, they seem like a pretty solid shoe. Half mile warm up, then 4 miles, that averaged out to 5.51. I was pleased with the way things turned out, especially because there was a sublte uphill for a large portion of the run. It was pretty tough at the end, but I was able to focus mentally and finish strong, which I think was the biggest success of the workout.

I saw Franco on the afternoon run, stopped and talked to him for a few minutes, super chill, awesome dude
Tue, 19 Jun 2018 06:00:00 Mon, Jun 18, 2018 http://bin.fastrunningblog.com/blog-06-18-2018.html
Just a couple of regular chill runs
Mon, 18 Jun 2018 06:00:00 Sat, Jun 16, 2018 http://bin.fastrunningblog.com/blog-06-16-2018.html
Pretty good run. Ran the first 4 with Jake Buenning, then 5 more on my own, followed by 3 mile repeats at 5:42, 5.43, then 5.46. I've still got a lot of work cut out for me, and I can't help but think it would be easier to do these workouts with someone else, I think I'd do better with someone to push me. Anyway, I then sat in the provo river for a few minutes, which was great. When I got home, I was almost ready to hop in the shower, but Joseph came by, and we went on a nice run together, with two barefoot miles in the grass. I also bit the bullet and ordered the Garmen 230 off ebay today.
Sat, 16 Jun 2018 06:00:00
