First workout since december, and it was a good one. We did 12x400 on the indoor track. The first 10 were about 76-78, the last two were supposed to be faster, and I did like 66 then 64, so it was a good finish. It was fun to run again with the group. I was surprised to find otu there is a race this Saturday at the indoor track, and there will be quite a bit of competition there, but I'm leaning towards not running, because I didn't get a lot of consistent mileage in over the break, and I think I might play pickleball with Stacy and go to the temple. I also don't want to run slower than I did a month ago, which might happen haha. There will be other opportunities.

5 boring treadmill miles, but that's how it's going to be until it warms up a little, cause I think on Wednesdays I won't be able to run until the evenings.

2 sets of 800, 400, 2x200. They were fast, short rest inbetween, it was a pretty good workout

Mile repeats!! It was an intense workout, 4xmile with 3 minutes rest inbetween. Splits were 5:18, 5:21, 5:30, 5:30. I was really feeling dead those last two, but I'm proud of myself for sticking with it and toughing out that last one.

5 mile tempo run. Wow, this run was a beast!!! The first 2.5 miles were really tough, cause of the slight uphill and headwind, going back it was a lot better, and I kept a better pace even though I was tired. Splits were: 6:05, 6:16, 6:06, 5:57, 6:00.

Nice fun run with Anna and Lauren out on that Warner Valley dirt road. Then went skiing, and then finished off the day playing pickleball, so it was a great day to say the least.

10 minute tempo run, followed by 4x800m repeats. The 800s were 2:30, 2:30, 2:29, then 2:24. Or something close to that.

Tough workout today, 3x1mile repeats (I was about 5:30-31 each one) then and 800 (2:29) then a 400 (64). It felt good, I was proud of my effort. I think the 800 could have been faster, but I got stuck behind a couple of guys, but that's all good.

Really tough but good workout today. Started with a mile repeat at 5k pace, (5:14) then did a two mile repeat, slowing down by about 15 seconds per mile, I ran a 11:05 (possible a bit faster, I forgot my watch and coach was distracted when I came across the line, so it took him a sec to give me the time haha) and I was really happy with that, took some good mental toughness that last mile. Then we did one more mile repeat, no goal time, all effort based, and I ran a 5:13. It was great. Maybe I should run without my watch more often, or just look at it less. I'm just proud of the mental tenacity during that workout.

What a workout! We did a 8 mile progression run, with a mile warmup tacked on the front and back end of it. It was a really tough run on the Murdock canal trail. Going out was fine, and there was really one one fastish mile, but once we turned around, man! There was a nice headwind, classic! Anyway, I didn't have my watch, and I just wanted to focus on the effort. I think, based on what other people's pace were that I ran with briefly or passed, that my pace varied between 5:55 and like 6:20 for the majority of the run. Biggest focus for me right now is the effort and mental toughness, to get ready for that 55k.
